Auto responders
An "auto responder" is a software process that runs on the server and
automatically responds to incoming email.
Auto responders are very useful to:
- Automate repetitive email tasks, for instance, to automate the process of
sending price lists to prospective clients
- Provide your clients with an immediate response - 24 hrs a day 7 days a
week
- Provide "on-demand" information, for instance place an add and ask
respondents to send email to
catalog@mydomain.co.za - and then have the auto responder send them a
catalog automatically
- All email is answered within 15 minutes.
- Rules can be set-up to respond with different messages based on the
subject line of the incoming email
You can "convert" any of your email addresses into an auto responder, or
create a new address specifically for an auto responder

Auto responder rules
Every auto responder (there is one per email address) has up to 10 rules.
Each of these rules specify an key-phrase to look for in the incoming email and
then send an appropriate response based on that rule.
Where more than one rule matches the subject, the longest keyword rule (ie
the most specific) will be selected.

whether or not you want the original message to remain in your inbox.
