Creating a Multi-Recipient Address (MRA)

The following guide provides step by step instructions for creating an email account on the server using your Control Panel (HELM).

What is a MRA?

A MRA (or Multi-Recipient Address) is a single email address that forwards all the messages sent to this address, to other email addresses.

A MRA can also be referred to as a Distribution List, or an Email Forwarder, forwarding to more than 1 email address.

How can I benefit from a MRA?

Consider the following scenario:

You have a couple of sales representatives, and you need to simplify your contact information @domain.co.za

Let's take the following scenario, John has a company and has 5 people working in his sales department (mark@domain.co.za; sandy@domain.co.za; carl@domain.co.za; debra@domain.co.za; sue@domain.co.za ).

Instead of asking prospective clients to send an email to any/all of the above mentioned email addresses, he can create 1 email address that delivers to all of his sales representatives' email accounts.
