How to setup Windows Mail (Vista)

Please follow the instructions below to setup Window Mail to send and receive email from your servers.

(NOTE: Where you see "mail.cozahost.com" replace that server name with the server assigned to you - "mail.your_own_domain_name.co.za")

 

1. Select Account Type

- Open Windows Mail
- Click on the Tools menu option
- Click on the Accounts menu option
- Click Add

Select your Account Type:
- Click Email Account
- Click Next

You have now initiated the new account setup procedure.
 

 

 
2. Your Name

- Enter Your Name (as you would like it to appear) in the Display name field
- Click the Next button
 
 

 
3. Internet E-mail Address

- In the "E-Mail address" field, enter a valid email address
- Click the Next button
 

 

 
4. Set up e-mail servers

- Incoming mail server type: POP3
-
Incomming mail server: mail.your_domain_name.co.za {Remember to replace your_domain.co.za}
-
Outgoing mail server: mail.your_domain_name.co.za {Remember to replace your_domain.co.za}
-
Enable: Outgoing server requires authentication
 

 

 
5. Internet Mail Logon

- Email username: valid@email.co.za {Replace with your full email address}
- Password: ****** {Your email account password}
(Make sure the "Remember password" box is ticked)
- Click the Next button
 

 

 
6. Congratulations!
 
Click the Finish button :-)
 

 

 
Test your account
 
To test your new email account, send an email to test (at) cozahost.com ('(at)' is used instead of '@' to confuse spammer bots).  When your message is received, a reply will be sent automatically within a few seconds.
